Every Online Business Model I’ve Tried (And What Actually Happened)

If you’ve ever searched “how to make money online,” welcome.

You’re my people.

Because I don’t think there’s a business model I haven’t at least looked at.

Some I’ve tried.

Some I’ve invested in.

Some I’ve spent way too many late nights researching while convincing myself that this one might finally be the answer.

The Search for Financial Freedom

I’ve explored network marketing.

I’ve bought digital courses.

I’ve looked at Amazon KDP.

I’ve considered affiliate marketing.

I’ve gone down rabbit holes about passive income, resell rights, online businesses, digital products, trading, and probably a dozen other things I’ve forgotten about.

And if I’m being honest, every single one started with the same thought:

“What if this changes everything?”

It Was Never About Getting Rich

Not because I was greedy.

Not because I wanted a Lamborghini.

Because I wanted breathing room.

I wanted to stop feeling like every dollar was already allocated before it even hit our bank account.

I wanted options.

I wanted flexibility.

I wanted to know that if one of my kids needed me, I could be there.

I wanted a life that felt bigger than the cycle of earning, spending, stressing, and repeating.

What I Learned Along the Way

Some things worked.

Some things didn’t.

Network marketing gave me experiences I’ll always be grateful for.

I learned leadership.

I learned sales.

I learned how to communicate.

I learned how to support other women in building confidence and creating income.

I also learned how heavy it can feel when other people’s success starts to feel like your responsibility.

Some opportunities taught me skills.

Some taught me resilience.

Some taught me expensive lessons.

And some simply taught me that just because something works for someone else doesn’t mean it’s the right fit for me.

The Question I’m Asking Now

What I’ve realised is that most business models aren’t inherently good or bad.

They’re just tools.

The real question isn’t:

“Which business model makes the most money?”

The real question is:

“Which business model creates the life I actually want?”

For years I asked the first question.

Now I’m trying to ask the second.

Still Figuring It Out

And honestly?

I don’t have a perfect answer yet.

But I do know this:

Every path teaches you something.

Even the ones that don’t lead where you expected.

Maybe success isn’t about finding the perfect business model.

Maybe it’s about collecting enough lessons to build something that’s truly your own.

I’m still figuring that out.
